SEMA (Special Equipment Marketing Association) is a trade organization that also happens to have a show.
While some of their members do in fact sell safety equipment a huge potion of the segment is illegal modifications to street driven vehicles under the illusion that those parts are being sold for competition purposes. SEMA is also a strong supporter and funder of the "Right to Repair" movement now that OEMs have started encrypting their ECUs and making it hard to commit warranty fraud.
