It has already happened where I grew up in Michigan. Lakes used to have ice you could drive out on and now it is hit or miss to leave an ice shanty on the lake.
When I was a kid lots of people had snowmobiles and snow would stick around for awhile after a storm. Now most days in winter the grown is bare and if you want to snowmobile you have to trailer your machines north to lake effect areas. Snowmobile sales greatly declined but were replaced by every increasing ATV and UTV sales. So no reason to sell off any stock.
