Now most days in winter the grown is bare and if you want to snowmobile you have to trailer your machines north to lake effect areas. Snowmobile sales greatly declined but were replaced by every increasing ATV and UTV sales. So no reason to sell off any stock.

Well, reverse-trikes such as the Can-Am Spyder remind me of a snowmobile somehow. Just like some aircraft are converted to take-off and landing on snow with modular kits which can be swapped out for the normal wheeled landing gear, doesn't seem to be much of a waste to attempt something similar with a snowmobile.

Sounds like good news to me. I'll be more worried when the frozen lakes start advancing south if I live that long.

I'm kinda sorta in the market for a ski, just like I'm kinda sorta in the market for a jetski. Not at these prices and utter lack of availability though.

GAZPROM refrigerating Siberian tundra to save wells and pipes
Was looking at a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC from 2017. The Nenets tribespeople of Russia's Siberian, Yamal peninsula, natural gas producing region, experienced record heat that year, killing 61,000 reindeer.
GAZPROM was forced to introduce mechanical refrigeration around their wellheads, refineries, and pipelines, in order to stabilize the infrastructure against damage.
Frozen, dead reindeer, which perished from a 1940s anthrax outbreak, were exposed as the permafrost melted, ending in the death of a child and 2,300 reindeer.
It will be interesting to see how parents navigate explaining to their children, why Rudolf the Red-Nosed reindeer starved to death, Santa's Workshop fell into the Arctic Ocean, drowning Santa, Mrs. Claus, all the Elves, the sleigh, and all of Santa's other reindeer.

I would be more worried if the permafrost was advancing south. Which is going to happen again someday.

The earth turns chlorophyll green with warmth.
It turns icy white with cold.
I like green.
