Our new assembly facility is complemented by two additional spaces nearby for beta development, R&D, and solar composite manufacturing. Our team is moving in phases, not quite fully settled in yet, and we look forward to sharing our new assembly facility with you as we continue this phase of testing and development. In addition to revealing our new facility, we will create videos highlighting Aptera’s performance. They will become available closer to production time as our current focus is to ensure that we are set to hit our production goals. In the meantime, we will keep our supporters up to date on the progress and cannot thank you enough for your patience.

We are using all available resources to perform hot/cold extreme environment testing at various proving-ground locations around the country. There are windshield wipers! It's an exciting road ahead and we're happy to share this story with you as we move towards production. We are humbled and beyond grateful for the support we have received thus far. We are continuing testing to integrate those findings into Aptera's production-ready design. Please be advised, the mounts for the Alpha pants in the Jay Leno video are just not that strong. The Beta’s will have an inner liner that also braces the whole assembly to the motor. This will be much stronger.

In addition, we will possibly have blind-spot warning systems for the back window, but rear and front cameras help. We are still testing which systems will be most useful to our drivers'. Specifics will be shared as we undergo more testing. We aren't in the position to provide demo videos just yet. The side windows are split with an upper fixed glass and lower roll down window. It does partially block your view of the birds but should be fine for traffic visibility. This concern is being accounted for as we finalize the design of the vehicle. Thank you for your feedback. In regards to the wheels, you can see the front view of the vehicle while driving through the display cameras so you can adjust easily in tight places. They will provide enough support for the driver to maneuver comfortably. The wheels are wide at 88" but they are very visible to the driver and after some experience, it is easy to track the position of the wheels. In addition, The plan is to have side rear-view cameras instead of mirrors. However, due to federal government requirements, our first versions will likely need a single reflective side mirror when we start production. Many car companies have been lobbying to change that but no news just yet. Please let us know if you have any questions. Many more updates to come as we push the efficiency envelope on mobility and launch our solar electric vehicle, Aptera.
