I was disappointed that those converging skegs were aerodynamically unstable. So I'm back to diverging outer walls on the difusser.

I dug out this model that has this Bugatti Royale two-tone scheme translated to the Beetle. I got that gloss finish in or about 1990. Too bad the cars that sit outside don't fair as well.

I was proud of the scratch-built three-fold sunroof, but it's gone missing. Not so proud of the blurry exposure. The two-tone line was a tracing of the rear quarter window.
