Typicly they are used more on the rear of the car than the front, but Porsche wouldn't be Porsche if their engineers didn't go crazy.

Keep in mind, the 911 GT3 is getting faster and faster without gaining much power.
Presumably, being mounted on the wishbone, if they are diffusers, then that is partially unsprung downforce. Which is an interesting way of doing it.
