I had other Ford shenanigans here. They placed an ad for a 2003 Camry with 223,000 miles for $5,000.

The Blue Book value is $4,000--for a dealership.

I asked about it and someone sent a text:
Quote:
Ok the toyota you were looking at though is a wholesale unit and can not be sold i saw you inquired a otd price of 3700 is that what you were wanting to pay for a vehicle? We also could take a look at the vehicle that ar eon the lot that range from 10 to 15k and use the 3 grand for a down payment if you would like.

Why are you advertising a car that can't be sold?
Quote:
not advertising it to be sold it goes on the website for inventory reason and so the wholesalers can see what vehicles are available they are going to basically part them out.
Yes, this ad absolutely specifies "Wholesale"--when you scroll past the Camry ad to the other $5,000 vehicle, a Malibu: https://www.showlowford.com/used-Sho...BE30K93U228987

So, they advertise a $4,000 car for $5,000 all to sell $10,000+ vehicles?

Bait and switch?
