I wonder if the lower front "grill" opening provides some cooling air to components that might need it; e.g., the battery. Or, is it there for some aerodynamic purpose?
Also, I wonder if those hood vents have ducts to bring air from the lower front grill through the vents. When the smoke wand is placed to the left part of the grill, the smoke comes through the left hood vent. And when on the right, smoke emerges from the right vent. This seems to be done for aerodynamic purposes and likely keeps the front end from rising at speeds.
