There are these universal remote controls, allowing you to turn off almost any TV.
Like the ones constantly displaying adverts in public places, lobbies, etc.
I can see an ecomodder walking across a parking lot, reducing noise and pollution by remotely killing engines in cars which are idling empty while the driver is shopping or just standing next to car, with open windows and A/C on full blast.
Or remotely killing engines in neighbouring cars on downhills, before red lights, etc., forcing them to EOC.
OK, I know this last one is dangerous...
