No former reporting on the heliosphere or heliopause ever mentioned an asymmetry.
You can't see the heliopause from the sun or Earth.
And to my knowledge, there's no possible way to image the 'geodesy' of a structure that large with even a million space probes observing simultaneously.
There's a context to oil pan 4's remark, I just know what it is yet.
