I saw a review that talked about ensuring getting the entire top surface burning. I was thinking cast teh block and then dip the top in candle wax. The star pattern seems like a good idea, having followed Integza on Youtube.
Xist -- Do you see the principle of a cylindrical rocket layout? The fuel canister has a grille in the bottom and a ring of holes at the top. Contained by a sleeve with holes half-way up the side.
One might scale that up. Add an afterburner to the sawdust stove.
