Well, firstly gelled alky is a poor starter fluid, I prefer paint thinner/BBQ starter.
They kind of allude to that with a cut away during the start processes.
Cubing the pellets would reduce the burn rate, getting that started would be a demonstration of patience. Nice thing is the glue additives are typically a grain starch so you just need a shape to dry it in. I suggest a star pattern like the internals of a solid fuel rocket casing. Does need more air flow and the painting of everything's bottom with liquid dish soap.

Also looks like you can burn anything dried organic

I saw a review that talked about ensuring getting the entire top surface burning. I was thinking cast teh block and then dip the top in candle wax. The star pattern seems like a good idea, having followed Integza on Youtube.

Xist -- Do you see the principle of a cylindrical rocket layout? The fuel canister has a grille in the bottom and a ring of holes at the top. Contained by a sleeve with holes half-way up the side.

One might scale that up. Add an afterburner to the sawdust stove.

Sides burning would be much easier, better air flow so more heat faster

Biggest difference is the batch load vs continuous feed.

Ill bite: how do you continuously feed it? Hidden augur? Looks to me that it gets taken apart to reload

That would have been my point. It's hot when it first needs reloading.

I think it's instructive for the air path, in in the middle and split between the bottom of the fuel and the afterburner ring at the top. The top-down burn is suboptimal. Instructions emphasize having the whole top lit evenly before you close it up.

Those pellets are difficult to start and keep lit unless you have a big core of them burning. You cant just splash starter, light them and go away. I use a big pile and a propane torch.
the main stove has a 5 minute start cycle and the starter element stays on until there's heat comming out of the plenum.

Wonder what forced fan intake would do.

Grant's widow fired Nate last year and got rid of Cali over a year ago.

So, the channel is imploding?

Grant ran the show by himself for several years, hired Nate, and once Nate helped him make the world's second-largest super soaker Grant, according to Nate, said "Hey, I quit."
"Do you want me to take over?"
"Oh. Okay. Starting now."
"No! We need to transition so the viewers become accustomed to me!"
"Well, I guess!"
Then once Nate got going Grant focused on twiddling his thumbs and toes.
They hired Cali.
Grant died, but he wasn't involved anymore.
After the pandemic started their long rise finally turned. They kept changing things and continued to lose.
Then, as you already know, Mrs. Random fired Cali, and then Nate, who has a knife-making channel now.
Nate has a long, random, and seemingly unscripted video narrating all of this. He mentioned these videos as awesome ones they did trying to stop hemorrhaging money: and That last one was weird. It was like they were trying to save their careers by being funny. There were a number of comments saying it was cringy, but in a good way.

Also, it seemed like a Flex Seal ad, although the channel denied it.

They had the Flex Seal guy in it.

YouTube says I haven't watched one of their videos in over two years.

At one point they started, then closed, a second channel.

Ah, death throes.

Is the Ecomodcoin still a year away?!

I have too much of a struggle getting inanimate objects to cooperate!

Oh my plans and schemes!
First I thought I could remove the rest of the weeds, see my teleclient, and mow both lawns.
Then I missed my session and just hoped to weed and mow most of the back lawn and the front lawn.
Then it started raining before I finished mowing the part that I weeded.
I never had a chance to start on the front.

Yesterday was Mom's anniversary and she wanted barbecue chicken. I am an Eagle Scout and used to make great fires.

The firefighters always said that I made the best fires!

I swear there is some saying about a craftsman blaming his tools, but clearly I need new matches. Most didn't light. Many broke. A few did light, but still broke.

Flying flaming matchheads are interesting.

I lit the matches as close to the newspaper as possible, but the newspaper wouldn't light.

I used some firestarters, which had always worked before, but wouldn't light.

I forgot everything that I learned making my charcoal chimney.

I had the same matches and the same problem with them.
I don't know where the stand is. I thought that I could set it on charcoal, so they would be started when the briquettes in the chimney was ready, but those aren't stable.

I put bricks in there--not fire bricks, but that should be fine.

However, I clearly needed to put in the bricks before the charcoal.

I used my 18" needlenose pliers to remove the bricks with difficulty.

By the time that I had a decent fire going Mom had finished cooking inside. I closed the vent, but most of the charcoal was used up, although I have another bag.

I am going to try again right now, with some tiny camping matches.

How far away should I prime and paint my oil pan?
