I like the triangular shark-body section of the ME-262. The lowered 'equator' directs air over the top but the lack of upward-facing normals limits the lift. ....driving sideways.

I had a room mate in college that drove a bug-eyed Sprite, so I can relate to this:
Straight cut gears and a 7,800 RPM four with no air cleaners sounds great, but the top needs to be lined with aerogel or something to cut the reverberations.
There's an interesting contrast between the finish on the pedal cluster and brake lines vs the top and the faux patina.
