It's a 6+6 axial engine with 6 compression cylinders, 6 expansion cylinders and a single combustion chamber.
The main benefit is the fact that due to continous combustion, knock is eliminated and emissions are improved.
Downside is that it doesn't work with less than 12 cylinders and the combustion chamber as well as the valves are a themal nightmare...
Basicly a turbine engine with pistons...
