So aerohead is smarter than Google? About 50 years ago there was a rage whereby some farmer eliminated his intake system with a piece of pipe sucking up the evaporated fumes out of the gas tank and was claiming all sorts of benefits like extreme economy. Clickbait today, not to mention lacking anti blowback system.
Turns out the system doesn't work. Surprise.
You can run a wankel without seals, it just wont start. If it's running, it will stay running, although at lower performance. Knew a guy back in the '80s that was trying to use them for aircraft and this was a feature

Their solution for eliminating the seals is 'tight tolerances and high RPMs'. The air[/fuel mixture] doesn't have time to leak.

Tight tolerances in a day when manufacturers say it is normal for a car to leak a quart between changes?

That's their claim.
IDK how they deal with thermal expansion, and balancing those notched and tabbed rotors. But with a functioning prototype, they've advanced as far as Scuderi. All that's left is productizing and making the factory that makes the thing. IOW, the last 98%
Aerospace today, tomorrow the lawn mowers of the world.

The Terrier two-motor would be interesting to drop into an Arcimoto Roadster chassis. ![EEK!](/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif)

I don't know how much their vehicles would weigh.
Huh.
Maybe less than a Leaf. I thought that was small and light, but the latest one is around 3,700 pounds.
I wondered if anyone had souped up one, but just found this:
Professional stunt driver Terry Grant set a Guinness record for the fastest time in reverse.

Downside is that it doesn't work with less than 12 cylinders and the combustion chamber as well as the valves are a themal nightmare...
Basicly a turbine engine with pistons...

Mazda has a fancy new 2-stroke engine patent
Hey, remember that famous cork manufacturer?! https://carbuzz.com/news/mazda-devel...-stroke-engine
They don't think this will replace their range extender, so this looks like it will be for a motorcycle.
