I was wondering why those houses looked familiar. It is part of my old neighborhood when I lived in Detroit.
If you didn't annoy the local Don, not a bad place to live back then.
In addition to missing anything of metal, there's a hazmat sequestering because EVERYTHING had asbestos in it: ceiling, plaster, sewer, insulation...... cant tear them down, can't fix them*. Only hope is they catch fire because there's federal mitigation for the site minus the house.
Btw this is a neighborhood where they give you title to the land for free if you pull permits to build.
* that's not actually true, it's just extremely expensive
