Well the used Fusion Energi market both dried up and ballooned up more than my liking for an 8 year old, off warranty car. I did buy a brand new Hyundai Sonata hybrid yesterday instead. Supposedly gets 51 mpg highway which blows my mind. I did drive it around town and the lie-o-meter was saying 53 average but after I did a cold start and drove to work this morning that dropped down to 44 mpg. It's a nice car, has everything I wanted as far as features, not s many as the Lincoln which I traded in, but those extras I hadn't really used. The connectivity to the phone is much better on the Hyundai. Wireless charging, cable less Android auto, remote start and locking unlimited distance on the phone. It has adaptive cruise control and lane assist, all the auto start stop and what not. Rides great and looks nice. So I'm surprised it wasn't on my radar earlier. I guess I assumed full size hybrids wouldn't do better than about 40 mpg.
