Steam could eventually be viable to power the on-board generator in a hybrid vehicle, yet I won't hold my breath for it being easy to convince the average Joe to give it a try, and it would be better to have a steam engine with a condenser to improve efficiency.

Sometimes it's just a paintjob done in a way that looks like rust, without actual rust at all.
