That's a good option, those or adding other polyester fibres/cf until the flexural, shear and tensile modulus equals that of steel or aluminum. Or don't kerb your mustang?

Even in motorsports I would think a mean 10% weight loss including extra reinforcement over aluminum would be worth it.

But for me there are many steel parts and fasteners that need changing first and I'm more important
