General Motors corporate policy has been not to innovate, since around 1927.
They'll let the 'other guy' take all the risks, and if the market takes the bait on something novel, they'll join the party later, and with a high value product.
They're extremely capable, and if committees allow, can provide something to shame the competition.
Cybertruck will probably slay them on some metrics, but the Silverado won't look like the 'science project' the Tesla is currently being criticized for.
