Releasing the EV in the middle of the cycle of the current generation sounds quite strange. Maybe just a test bed to find out a better setup for an upcoming all-new generation of the Silverado and a more serious commitment to the EV tech? Reminds me what GM did with the hybrid Silverado, at first a mild-hybrid and then switching to full-hybrid, and now there is no hybrid Silverado when it could be a good contender to the hybrid F-150, and eventually also increase its presence on export markets...

At least the 1500 is not bad-looking at all. On a sidenote, I really don't know why the half-tonners nowadays feature a noticeably distinctive look compared to their heavier counterparts, unless the Ram which seems to not differ too much the appearance from a 1500 to a 2500 for instance.
