From old-school fluid dynamics, you'd expect flow separation, the 'thickness' of the void created, and perhaps, reattachment, 6- thicknesses downstream of the local horizontal point of separation.
An attached bubble of separated flow would travel along with vehicle.
You can see this in my 1st video for Spirit of EcoModder.
This turbulence has implications for downstream flow attachment, as you've now mutilated the onset flow, in subsonic flow, which influences pressure over the entire vehicle.
I'm not comfortable 'guessing', with respect to any delta-CdA.
