You are right I shouldn't compare things that actually exist to things that dont.
I don't believe 10 miles per kwh claim at use able speed at all because they appear have several working prototypes. I see only 2 possibilities for this.
1 the most likely cause, they can only hit 10 miles per kwh at embarrassing golf cart speed and they know it.
2 it won't run for long enough to prove it can do 10 miles per kwh even in a controlled environment which would be catastrophic.
Otherwise it should be a very easy to prove claim.

And no one is offering any good or compelling reasons why solar cells should be wasted by putting them on a vehicle.
