I've been there done that. I had a Leaf too as you probably remember. With zero wind and zero snow on the road and not running the heater I still made it only 30 miles with a battery that had recently lost it's first capacity bar. It was entirely the cold that did it. I had done up to 120 miles on a single charge in the summer, so you could even look at it as 1/4 the range.
