My Leaf had a heat pump. But at temperuatures down to -40°F it doesn't use it. Not that I'm expecting a miracle, but this is why I want a lot of range, so the winter range isn't too little. Either that, or I need a cheap beater EV that's good for around town only.
I don't want to spend $40,000 or even $10,000 or even $5,000 on a car that I can only use around town when I can pick up a beater ICEV that would work fine for that same purpose for under $1,000.
