Since aerohead apparently isn't around to defend his thread today...

I spent 2 years living in the back of my Subaru Legacy. The difference is I only slept in it during my work week, which was only 3-4 (2 or 3 nights) days out of the week. My long hours meant most of the day was spent at work, with only food and workouts/showers occupying my 3 hours of non-work waking hours.

Lived with my folks the rest of the week, doing laundry and going on outdoor adventures. I was banking something like 90% of my net paycheck in those days, which allowed me to make a 20% downpayment on my first house.
