Painted black and did 300 mile round trip road trip today. Hard to tell if it had a positive or negative effect due to all the crosswinds going on in the Columbia gorge. I think my car can pull off the loojs. Obviously final product will be metal, smoother, and factory OEM paint finish and clear coat

But how does the Bowing out affect air flow? Slight front area increase and wouldn’t it be acting like a giant vortex generator or separation edge? The wheels already have smooth covers and the air flow is more straight and stream lined going past the wheel well. Obviously there’s some turbulence being created by the moving wheel and the wheel well openings, but Hyundais already done an effort at guiding some of the air flow around and over it with its body work. Would like someone to chime in explaining how the wheel spat can still reduce drag even with it sticking out versus just a straight streamlined direction with flat wheel covers with the OEM styling…

Please?
