Yeah, that's my primary concern. I'm going to reserve the leaner settings for cruising. If the bike runs well and fuel economy is significantly better, I might install a Power Commander so I can keep things rich at high throttle.

Another idea I had was tying into the TPS or IAP sensors, and using a voltage sensing relay to disconnect the potentiometer when the sensor voltage exceeds a value corresponding to 40-50% throttle.
