We use DOT 5 in our 30 year old Grumman LLV mail trucks that seldom see 55 miles per hour. It's $38 for 32 ounces in the Napa brand. The mechanic of course charges us $70 for that amount when he does a flush putting on a new master cylinder.
Either way, Tesla should not be trying to save $30 on a $140,000 car.
