They're 'sexy'. So far though, no low drag automobile design has deemed them worthy of inclusion.
Wolf H. Hucho's been adamant about not introducing pressure spikes.
On an INDYCAR with a Cd over 1.0 they'd be beneficial for stability and cornering force.
Those are issues not germane to a low drag IONIQ.
