AB test: anything under a metal cap that can push against the stem will cause a pressure loss. The grit they used to resurface my street fits perfectly. Right now only the french lentils I have are small enough to fit the inside of the cap. Common brown and Dal won't. Could be a Winco supply issue.

Useage causes a mess inside the stem which needs to be dealt with before adding air. Seems to be also a touch force thing since the process with the french lentils is inconclusive because sometimes the lentil turns to powder and my metal caps have a sealing ring. If I had a plastic cap, perhaps this might work reliably.

At jobcorps, I had this problem every so often: some kid would get pissed off with staff and flatten tires in the parking lot. Got into the habit of looking for where the caps were. solved the problem using a drop of eastman 910 but that annoys tire monkeys
