AB test: anything under a metal cap that can push against the stem will cause a pressure loss. The grit they used to resurface my street fits perfectly. Right now only the french lentils I have are small enough to fit the inside of the cap. Common brown and Dal won't. Could be a Winco supply issue.

Useage causes a mess inside the stem which needs to be dealt with before adding air. Seems to be also a touch force thing since the process with the french lentils is inconclusive because sometimes the lentil turns to powder and my metal caps have a sealing ring. If I had a plastic cap, perhaps this might work reliably.

At jobcorps, I had this problem every so often: some kid would get pissed off with staff and flatten tires in the parking lot. Got into the habit of looking for where the caps were. solved the problem using a drop of eastman 910 but that annoys tire monkeys

🤔

I haven’t heard it called that in a long, long time…

It did however remind me of this.

Lol…

Urushiol oil might not prevent the initial molestation, but the vengeance it distributes could begin to inform habitual molesters that they are misaligned in their action.

Don't forget to wear disposable gloves when you add air to your tires.

Is there a Step Two missing there?

I'm taking a page from freebeard...

and imagining a hypothetical response a person might have. Having not entertained the idea in detail because it was a hypothetical imagination of others perspectives, all of the steps are unexplored.

Some of the worst experiences I've had involved encounters with urushiol. Severe enough to heighten awareness of environment and to make better decisions when those environments are not the ones I should be messing with.

Henceforth, I make no more commentary on what I'd do, only speculate on what others might.

All I was trying to find out was if the oil goes on the inside or outside of the valve cap.

One would think it is better insider the tire , so, under the cap. Only gives me a mild short term rash, but never got it in my facial openings. Not sure the process is instantaneous enough to be a deterrent.

Interesting concept, however the liabilities might greatly exceed any benefits, and tire monkeys would unnecessary suffer.

910 has a bunch of useful qualities one of which is the specific force to fail the joint, otherwise you cant get the valve cap off if you use the newest CA adhesives. I supose a truck valve extender like used on dualies might be a better option.

As a child, I've had it everywhere kids touch. Inside the ear was most uncomfortable, and of course around the eyes / nose.

Way too slow acting for a causal connection to be made, but maybe a few days of relief from these hooligans if they are miserable enough to not want to tamper with others property.

In my early teenage I had a neighbor who was a SOB, and once me and other boys from the condo where I lived at the time placed nails on all 4 tires of his car, carefully enough to ensure all 4 tires would be punctured even if he steered before getting out of his parking spot. We only did it because he was a SOB, but doing it just out of hate for a specific vehicle type is plain stupid.

Would be quite entertaining to watch those self-proclaimed "climate saviors" messing with the wrong folks and getting some serious confrontation, such as if they tried it on an undercover police SUV/truck and got caught.

That was a plus benefit of living in Detroit under organized crime control: never knew who was directly connected so you didn't do such stupid stuff.

I have some yahoo paranoid neighbors with all sorts of security and weapons. Does that qualify?
