There are not many slippery ruts down the middle of lanes. Usually, that back wheel is getting a rough ride. However, with rear steering and a rear track equal or greater than the front track, you can get trapped against a curb and have to reverse away. Given that Bucky's rear wheel could turn sideways, I'd have gotten it out of a rut by braking one front wheel and powering the other.
