If their insurance doesn't pay out for a restored salvage car, I am pretty sure that I know how to get it back on the road again, but I didn't need to replace the windshield before--or the fender, and the way the fender is bent, at least one more bracket is bent underneath, plus the one that Crazy J pulled off.

Fenders and brackets are cheap, but Safelite would charge $305 to replace my windshield, so instead of paying $300 for parts I am now up to more like $600, plus $158.72 for the core support, and $240 to have Crazy J install it, assuming the damage I can't see isn't significantly worse than last time.

Let's not forget the radiator!

That would add $154.04, plus we need to replace that 8-month-old coolant!

That's at least $1,200 before any surprises and I am expecting surprises.

So, let's hope that the insurance makes a decent offer.
