Musk stated the stock was likely overvalued.

The value of Tesla is completely dependent on how successful they are with autonomous driving. Any major automotive manufacturer can make a good looking EV that goes fast. The speculative price isn't in bending metal into car-shaped objects, it's the technology aspect.

Through the history of autonomous driving, Tesla has not ranked very high as far in terms of being close to a commercially viable product. Like they didn't even make the top 5.

If someone comes out with a better solution to autonomous driving before Tesla, most of their technology value proposition vanishes. They become mostly just an automotive manufacturer at that point.

I've got 1 share of Tesla, so when I anger someone by pointing out something genius Musk does, I can satisfy that person by saying "yes, I am a shill for Tesla; I own a share".
