We're not that far off. I can hold a grudge with the best of them. Technically, he designed a Basic compiler and then stole MS-DOS from Gary Killdall by a side license with Seattle Computer Products.

It was written by Tim Paterson, who mimicked CP/M's application programming interface. How much of Kildall's intellectual property he appropriated is a matter of some dispute.
