Most teachers intend well. Most teachers think they have wisdom, because they think that's what college gave them.
My average teacher was average. Half were worse than that. Half were better. I don't remember the bad ones. Good ones attend your 40th birthday party and I'll never forget them.
Tonight I attended an event that presented the 8 school board candidates for 4 positions in my city. First time I've ever attended a government discussion. Back in the Bush era, we created "no child left behind", which is an idiotic thing to say. Of course we have to leave children behind. If we have to prevent bright kids from excelling until the idiots catch up, we just end up with a bunch of idiots. That's a harsh thing to say, but it's the truth. Anyone proclaiming "no child left behind" is simply a moron. You can't take them seriously because they are the stupid person we should all leave behind.
