Most folks who went to college, not only teachers, are indoctrinated to act as if they believe they have a "duty" as a sort of "savior of the world" through all that woke BS.

There was a similar stupidity here too, the so-called "automatic progression", yet it only applied to public schools and I don't know to which extent it was effectively applied.

It's often said that American public schools either treat the kids as if they were all retards or to set the black kids up for prison. At least homeschooling is legal there, which seems to be a reasonable approach to overcome this problem. Even though I believe kids need some interaction with their peers, school is not the only environment suitable for that anyway...
