If I don't put sensitive data on my PC, and I have backups, why do I care about security. Also, everything is behind the firewall.
Most people aren't compromised because they didn't get last weeks security update, they are compromised because they foolishly installed malicious software or voluntarily divulged their information to a bad actor, or someone else who mishandled their information.
