I am sure those aren't searchable with normal engines.

I'm going to side with freebeard on paranoia this time.
You think the government cares about the facts if you somehow end up in their sights? You think a jury of your peers cares about facts either?
Andrew Klavan mentions how, as a writer, he looks up horrific things in his research for a novel. Like details on how a particular crime would be committed. If he were ever accused of something, those search terms would not look good.
I've looked for details on an interesting story I'm reading or hearing about, and those search terms wouldn't look good. Right now the Boston Bombers are on Netflix, and I have a curiosity about how the particulars of anything work. How good would it look if I am accused of something, have a prison history related to blowing up portable toilets in high school, and then look up how a pressure cooker bomb works? 12 jurors don't need any more evidence than that, and prosecutors only care about making convictions, not discovering truth.
... the common public have this impression that defense attorneys are scoundrels because they defend guilty people. They are scoundrels because they are attorneys, but that aside, they are necessary because the prosecution trumps up charges, mischaracterizes people, and has no interest in the circumstances or understanding the situation.
