WAI in a Corolla

Has anyone done one of these in a 9th Gen Corolla (03-07)? While working on my permanenty upper grill block, I took a look at the intake.

Here's the intake opening, behind the headlight.

Here's the path the intake tubing takes: behind a panel behind the battery, under the battery, out towards the engine bay, then back away to behind the headlight.

It looks like I'd need to remove that piece that makes the 180 and turn it back in towards the engine compartment but there's no apparent easy way other than cutting it. I'd like to keep all my mods easily reversible if possible...

*edit* - yeah i realize the air flows the other way, but thats the way the tubing goes from the air cleaner to the intake hole.
