my method was a bit more complicated and costly but makes is reasonably adjustable. I cut off the double ball jointed arm off a rear view mirror and mounted a convex mirror to it. i used a stick on rear view mirror mount on the plastic on the A-pillar, similar to what bbjsw did. total cost was $15 or so. the adjustability is really nice. that mirror combined with a wide-angle convex rear view center mirror gives me a wider range of vision than a traditional set up.
