Reproduction pieces and parts are availble for all three, but for instance, a complete VW Type II bus body would be $17K. These Jeep bodies are ~$4K and as shown in the video
they are made of 'Galvanneal' steel. This would be a serious foundation for whatever build was desired: diesel offroader, electric urban car, tractor for a foamie?
Personally, I'd go for a full aerodynamic add-on kit, a Veep-style rear engine electric drivetrain, and a top with four butterfly doors like the Ford Evos concept from 2011:
