Unlike the prime the volt does track electric and gas separately.

If you want accurate you also need tedious, if you donÂ’t care just keep external usuage of gas and electric versus overall miles.

Only way to track accurately is to keep track of gas and electric miles / use separately for each “full charge” off the center screen (aka before every time it’s gonna reset) then compare to actuals off the wall and pump.

What I found was that my volt in mild weather (not warm, nor cold) was that a empty to full charge used 12kwhr off the wall(keep track and you can match up to the dash)
Hot or cold used more than that.

Your Volt is most efficient if you
1. Do few partial to full charges (empty to full is most efficient)
2. finish charging just before you leave (especially in very hot/cold weather)

For the first years I tracked everything on a little notepad I kept on top of the dash.

My goal was always summer range 70 miles EV and 42mpg plus.
Did it for years until I got the battery update.
