I've had 2 v8 2wd Dakotas. A 1993 regular cab short bed 5.2 automatic I bought new for like $15k. Then a 2000 RCSB but an RT so it had the 5.9 the RT was an early run solar yellow that they discontinued early in 2000. They made a lot in 1999 but supposedly only 5 regular cabs that color in 2000. I bought that truck 2 years old with around 5000 miles. Sold it a few years later with under 10,000 miles on it. I remember seeing it for sale years later still under 20k on it and the ad said "never seen rain". I was like, I have pictures of that truck chained up in a blizzard in 2 feet of snow with a little buck I shot dripping blood down the tailgate. I also took 3rd place in a burnout contest in that truck, and got sides wiped by a beer truck. Goes to show how a good body and paint guy can make something into "never seen rain" that saw lots of rain and more.
