Heck, I'm not much of a prepper, but even I'm starting to take some very basic precautions for the 1% chance that the world gets nuked. I've got about a 1 year supply of food; enough for dad to plant crops and bring in a harvest to sustain us.

IF unabated global warming is a big problem, it's a minimum of 250 years out, probably much longer. I get that the problem develops prior to catastrophe manifesting, but technological capability 250 years from now will be insanely better.

Research suggests humanity will continue to enjoy a net-benefit from warming until 2080, at which point continued warming will slowly accrue a net-negative. That's my entire life benefiting from warming right there.
