I made my own hole spacing pattern. It covers one half of the braking surface circumference and then repeats on the other half to prevent imbalance. I have seen other non-repeating patterns that introduce a lot of imbalance, but a repeating pattern fixes that.
I have not heard any noise from the drums, and there is currently no bed on the truck, so I should be able to hear it with my back window open. The only sound is a very light hiss as the pads touch the drums, which is the same sound drums make anyway. No humming or whistling. They are smooth and predictable every time they are applied. I will be taking the drums off soon for an inspection, but expect to find everything as it was. I will try to remember to get pictures or video.
