I remember the Mexican Nissan Tsuru. Odd enough, the latest ones were fitted with a Renault engine for emissions compliance. I used to see a few once in a while in my hometown, but those had Uruguayan plates.

Well, considering the next Euro-spec Mitsubishis will be rebadged Renaults, it wouldn't surprise me if some small Renault made in India would have its underpinnings shared with an eventual (yet unlikely) next-generation Mirage. If a next-generation Mirage becomes a mini SUV like the Renault Kiger or the Nissan Magnite, maybe even a comeback to the United States and Canada could happen, because of how taxation has been structured in favor of SUVs.
