Way back in the day, I had some questionable stuff on my car that retracted ( curtains across the rear window of a hatchback). When pulled over for a violation, while the occifer was writing up the ticket, I folded them full open. No more violation right then. Sometimes I had to totally remove them from the curtain track, but whatever.
