Extended-cab trucks used to be a different matter. But anyway, look at newer ones if they're still available there (at least the Ranger has AFAIK the option for the US-spec model, even though the ones made in Argentina for export to my country no longer have it), and you'll see they switched to bench seats, mostly due to European and Australian crash standards requiring forward-facing seats.
